Welcome to the Surface Collection! I’m thrilled to finally release these images after many moments of wondering ‘what am I doing?!’ and one particularly close encounter with the reef that I really didn’t see coming! Navigating a whole new work environment was as fun as it was daunting but ultimately I loved every minute of it and can’t wait to see how this collection grows over time.
Offering a new perspective on a well documented topic for the Print Store, the Surface Collection leaves the shoreline behind and ventures into the deep - captured in the cool morning waters along the Western Australian coastline of Whadjuk Nyungar Boodjar.
Experience a series of abstract images which investigates the enduring, intriguing rhythms and shades of the Indian Ocean.
Our vital force is transient as if challenging us to really see her. Regardless of the constant drift, the limited point of focus thread through each image, permits the colour and movement to evoke a sense of calm and quiet in an otherwise hectic world.
